There are times when parents fill out inquiries after their child has been admitted into your school. This is common when the child attended, then left, and now is coming back. When this occurs the Lead does not have a student record and the admission record tied to it. This can cause duplicate people records, duplicate student records, and or duplicate admission records for the lead.
In order to prevent this you must tie the original student and admission record to the lead prior to enrolling.
PRO TIP: Students should only have one student record with one admission record. The admission records will show the attrition status of the student. The enrollment record will show the terms the student attended your school.
- Go into the Lead record (you could go through Leads, Re-Enrollment Leads, or All Leads depending on what type of lead it is).
- Click the View/Edit Additional Lead Info button.
- Scroll down to the Student field and search for by first or last name of the student. After you select the student click the Admission field and select the one admission record for the student.
- Click Save and Back at the top and you have now added your re-enrollment lead and linked them back to the existing student!
PRO TIP! If the student has more than one admission record this might be a mistake. Most schools will only ever have one admission record for a student so when in doubt contact your school's super admin or emailsupport@bigsis.comfor more assistance.
