BigSIS recently updated the Letter of Recommendation module so that when a Letter of Recommendation is submitted it is automatically marked as Completed. Any Letter of Recommendation that was submitted before this update was not automatically marked as Completed. This article explains how to use the filters and Set as Completed tool in the Letters of Recommendation module to mark those previously submitted Letters of Recommendation as Completed.
Note: depending on what your school requires in Letters of Recommendation, you may not have any results returned in some of these filter combinations.
- Head to the Letters of Recommendation table on the left-hand menu > Admissions/Leads > Letters of Recommendation.
- Select Filters > By Status > Not Submitted. Then select Filters > By Signature > Signed. The table should look like this:

- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.

- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.

- Once the table has been cleared, select Filters > By Signature > Does Not Require Signature. Then select Filters > By Text Entry > Has Filled Text Entry. The table should look like this:

- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.
- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.

- Once the table has been cleared, click the white X on the Text Entry: Has Filled Text Entry filter to remove it. Then select Filters > By Document File Upload > Has Uploaded Recommender Document File. The table should look like this:

- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.
- Select all the records, then click Other > Set to Completed.

- The majority, if not all, of the previously submitted Letters of Recommendation should now be marked as Completed. Click the white X on the Signature: Does Not Require Signature filter and on the Document File Upload: Has Uploaded Recommender Document File filter to remove them. The table should look like this:

- If any of the returned records need to be marked completed, they can be marked in bulk by selecting the records, then click Other > Set to Completed or individually by going into the record, checking the Completed box > Save and Back.
