Important: Before completing this step, you must complete re-enrollment and course generation.
This step allows you to register all students that are enrolled in a program into all of the courses already set up for that program. For example, all students who are enrolled in the program Grade 6 will be registered for each course in Grade 6 with one, single click!
Note: Only courses that are set up for auto-register will be used here (most, if not all, courses will meet this requirement). Courses that are not set up for auto-registration will be skipped and you will need to add students manually to those courses. To find out if a course is set up for auto registration, go to (from the Left-Menu) Courses > Courses, select a course and edit it, then scroll down to "Transcript Options" and expand that fieldset. Look for the "Auto-Register" box and see if it is checked or not.
To Start Auto-Registering Students, From the Left-Menu:
-
- Go to Favorites > Academic Year Wizard.
- Select the Academic Year you would like to configure.
- Click Step 5: Add Students to Courses
- Select the term to register students into.
- Select the programs that you want to register students into. You may select one at a time or select multiple programs at once.
- Once you have selected the necessary programs click the Auto-Register button at the bottom left.
Note: Each registration is per student, per course. For example, if there are 5 students and 10 courses, each eligible student will have 10 new registrations for a total of 50 registration records (5 students * 10 courses=50 registrations).
- After the registration is complete, a green notification box will appear at the bottom of the screen to notify you of the results for each individual program. You will be notified how many eligible students were enrolled in the program, the number of courses available for registration, how many of those eligible students had existing registrations, and the total of the new registrations that were added.
Note: Each registration is per student, per course. For example, if there are 5 students and 10 courses, each eligible student will have 10 new registrations for a total of 50 registration records (5 students * 10 courses=50 registrations).
- Go to Favorites > Academic Year Wizard.
