Assessment Periods are your school's reporting periods. Each term will have its own reporting periods. Without Assessment Periods, teachers will not be able to report. The below instructions will help you add new Assessment Periods but can also be used to edit your existing Assessment Periods.
If you're happy with how your Assessment Periods worked last year, then you'll want to replicate the previous year and you can do this while setting up your Academic Year using the "Copy Assessment Periods For Terms" option. If you need to add an Assessment Period for one reason or another, though, you can use the below steps.
PRO TIP! If you can't remember your exact setup, just take a peek at the Academic Year setup from the prior year. Just follow steps 1-3 for the previous year and you will see last year's setup.
NOTE: If you're new to BigSIS, or if you're considering restructuring your terms for next year, please reach out to our customer service team. We want to make sure your setup is how you want it and save you future headaches resulting from improper setup.
From the Dashboard:
