New Reference Requests/Teacher Letters of Recommendations Feature for Leads (Admissions Process)
BigSIS now offers the ability to request references or letters of recommendation from professionals (e.g., former teachers) of new leads. To create and send a request for a reference/letter of recommendation complete the following steps:
Go to the leads table, select a lead and edit it
Scroll down and look for the tab titled ‘Reference Requests’
Click the ‘New’ button
If this is first time you are using this feature, you will need to create a ‘Reference Request Template’ before you can send out a request for a reference. Templates allow you to specify what you need from the reference. You may specify that the reference must upload a document or answer certain custom questions. For example, you may create a template that you use when requesting “Letters of Recommendation” that asks the reference to upload a word doc. You may then create a separate template when requesting a “Parent’s Statement” which asks the reference to write some text and answer a few custom questions about themselves and their child. Once you create these templates, then you can use them on future leads, too.
After you have some templates, you may select one. Then, enter an email address to send the reference request to and an expiration date (after the request expires, the person will no longer be able to supply a reference).
After you send the email to the reference, they will be able to fill it out and submit it back to you.
You may now optionally display student photos on the full health info report.
Added ability to see deceased relatives on the person quickview, these relatives will be identified as deceased.
When entering 0 occupancy in an extended care session, the session will now be treated as having no cap.
Students are now ordered alphabetically by last name in the emergency contacts school directory (whether you select a program or program group).
Bug Fixes
Single (one-off) occurrences in Extended Care were not getting deactivated when the ‘Active’ option was unchecked, this has been fixed.
All day events fed to iCal from the BigSIS event calendar were being marked as occurring between 12a and 11:59p rather than being flagged as ‘All-Day’ events. This has been fixed.
An issue with emergency contacts not printing on enrollment MPFs has been resolved.
