From the Dashboard:
- Go to Courses > Other > Course Templates.
- Click New to add a new template.
TIP: You may also use the Quick Add New Template option if preferred. The quick add option gives you a narrowed down set of options to add to your template but you may always edit templates later when necessary. - You will now have a series of options to affect for your course template:
- Enter the Title of your course (e.g. Music Gr. 1).
NOTE: Make your course titles specific. If you have 5 courses called "Music," it will be difficult to determine which programs are in that course. "Music (Gr. 1)" would be much more useful). - Enter the Description of the course.
NOTE: We understand that sometimes course descriptions change over time so teachers also have access to descriptions if they would like to write their own once the course is generated. - Enter the Order number. This will help shape the order of the course when it appears on a report. For example, make the course you want to appear first a "0." Then make the following courses 5,10, 15, 20, etc. to create the order you want them to appear.
- Complete the rest of the form as necessary.
- Required fields include:
- Credits: If the course is worth no credits, leave it as 0 or add the appropriate credits.
