If a pledge payment was entered in error, you must remove the pledge payment before you re-enter it if re-entering is necessary.
How to Remove a Pledge Payment
From the Dashboard:
- Go to Donations (in the left menu) > Donations
- Edit the pledge with the payment you want to remove
- On the right side of the screen, click the View Invoice button
- Click the Payments subtab
- All the payments associated with the pledge will appear in the Payments table. Select the Payment you want to delete
Important: Payment adjustments on the Payments table can only be made on pledges that were not processed via authorize.net. The table below cannot be used to make adjustments to payments for one-time gifts, pledges paid via authorize.net, or recurring gift installments. If you do not see a 'View' or 'Edit' button at the top of this table then that means the donation associated with this invoice cannot be adjusted from here because it is either:
(A) a one-time gift, which is considered paid in full at the time it is logged so its payments cannot be adjusted; if you need to make adjustments to a one-time gift donation that was not processed by Authorize.net, you must DELETE the donation itself and RE-ENTER it from scratch (hint: it may help to select 'Log a past gift' when you re-enter the donation). Be very careful when deleting one-time gifts! Make sure the gift was not paid by Authorize.net, if you delete a gift paid by Authorize.net you will have sync issues between BigSIS and Authorize.net. Contact support@bigsis.com if you are unsure.
(B) a pledge where at least one of the installments was paid via Authorize.net; editing payments for these pledges may cause sync issues between BigSIS and authorize.net so you must contact support@bigsis.com for further assistance
(C) a recurring gift installment, which is considered paid in full at the time it is logged so its payments cannot be adjusted; please contact support@bigsis.com for further assistance with adjusting recurring gift installment payments - Click the Remove button
- The payment has been removed, if you want to re-add the payment, click the Make New Payment button
