Here are some quick steps on how to add a split contract to a lead record that already has a contract created for it. These steps can be used for either new Leads or Re-enrollment Leads.
PRO TIP! These steps can also be used for contracts that have been claimed and started but NOT completed. As long as a parent hasn't completed the contract you can still split it. The first parent that started the contract will automatically be assigned to the first half of the contract and you can assign the second parent to the second half of the split contract.
- Start by going to either the Leads or Re-enrollment Leads table.
- Select and edit the lead record in question.
- This will take you to the Edit Lead page. Scroll down to the Contracts tab. You will see that one contract has been created already, click Split This Contract.
- This will take you to the Split Contract page where you will be able to edit a few different items. This includes the Percent Allocated to each contract (this will affect the split of contract line items), the Due Date Override, and the Assigned Person. Once you have selected these items you will click Save and Back to complete splitting this contract or click Save and Continue to create the contract and continue to the Edit Contract screen.
NOTE: It is not necessary to select Required Signatures when splitting a contract. By selecting the assigned person for each contract you will also be requiring that those people sign the contract so you do NOT need to select them in the Required Signatures section.
