This help guide will assist with steps to set up your new administrators. If you are using the BigSIS Admissions/Leads module then you normally do not need to add people into the system manually. However, adding new administrators and sometimes teachers and other employees (if they are not already parents with the school), requires you to add people manually.
After you add the new person into the system you can invite them and follow the steps to add their user permissions based on what they need to access in the system. We have listed a few other helpful items to consider based on what your new admin will be responsible for in BigSIS.
PRO TIP! These instructions can also be used as a review of steps you might consider if you have an administrator that has a new position or if an administrator leaves the school and responsibilities are changing.
- Start by adding them as a person.
- After you add the person you will want to add the appropriate roles. If this person is just an administrator then you only need to add the Employee role but you may add additional roles if necessary. This will guide you on how to add these roles for them.

IMPORTANT: An important step of sending the signup link to an admin is to make sure they tell you once they have completed their signup. This is imperative so that you know when you can complete the next step.

- Once you have confirmed the new admin has signed up for BigSIS you can set their permissions.
- Either before or after you set up the permissions for the new user you can start getting their email account set up if they are going to be emailing from the system.

- After setting up a new email account you can consider whether the admin should be set up to send your End-user notifications or tied to any of your email alerts. You may also consider providing them with help information on sending email or editing email templates if these are tasks they will be involved with.
