There can be a few reasons why courses don't show in the portal and the lack of an Assessment Period is a common reason depending on how you set up your Academic Year. Most schools will copy over Assessment Periods when they make a deep copy of their Academic Year but if you haven't then you may need to complete this step. This will help you troubleshoot if this is your issue.
PRO TIP! Another common issue can be that you haven't rolled over your default Academic Year for the portal yet. Click here for more information on how to fix this.
- The most common way this issue is discovered is when an administrator impersonates a teacher in the portal after generating courses and auto-registering students but also be discovered by a teacher. The message you will see under the Current Courses tab (Teachers > Current Courses) will be the following: "No Current Courses to display." This is an indication that the system doesn't have any courses to display, not because they haven't been generated, but because there is not an assessment period created yet.

- You can confirm that you have fixed this issue by refreshing the portal after you add an assessment period. You should now see the list of courses as seen below. If you do not see your courses make sure that you set the Teacher Assessment Due Date to a future date.
