This article will walk you through the variety of Donation Form Settings that you have at your disposal. It will show you how to customize the form and make it unique to your school and the needs you have (up to a certain point).
- Go to Client Settings > Donations tab > scroll down to Donation Form Settings:
- In the Donation Form Settings, you will be able to manipulate various sections that are in your public donation forms. You have the option of turning on or off a variety of settings, such as:
- Show Campaign Progress Bar On Public Donation Form
- This is the heart progress bar for the campaign that visually shows your donors how much, in percentage, has been contributed to a certain campaign.
PRO TIP! Research shows that keeping this turned on prompts more, and bigger donations.

- Hide auto-detection of installments
- By unchecking this box you will be allowing the system to match an email address to one that is already in the BigSIS donations system. If the email address finds a match and the user is not logged in, the system will still show them their installment is due.
- Set Default Donation Template for Internal Form
- Admins are able to add donations through the admin site. This setting allows the admin to select what donation template they will see each time they click on the new donation tab.

- Customize the setting permissions and requirements for the Donation Forms such as:
- Allowing Anonymous Donations
- By having this box checked you are allowing anonymous donation on all your donations forms.
- Using Captcha
- This is an extra step that we highly suggest you keep turned on. It will make your donors do a simple math problem in order to prove that they are humans making the donation.
- Showing Gift Matching
- By enabling this you allow donors to enter the name of an entity or organization that has promised to gift match. If this is turned off, only admins will be able to do this from the admin side.
- Requiring an Email Address, Address, and or Phone number
- These are three separate boxes that you can individually check off. If you want all three required, select all of the options. Unchecking the box will not make the option required:

- Allowing Anonymous Donations
- Although we suggest creating different public forms for specific campaigns, funds, and/ or appeals you will also be able to set permissions that will allow donors to select where they choose to make their donations. This will also include the option to provide a label to use when selecting the campaign/fund/appeal on the donation form.
PRO TIP! By allowing donors to have the capability of changing the campaign, fund, and/ or appeal please be extra vigilant that the type of donation(s) goes to the correct locations, extra cleanup may be needed if this is incorrect.
