This wizard is designed to be a one-stop shop for all your Academic Year setup needs for the current year and the upcoming year. All steps and tools needed to create, edit and keep track of your academic year configuration in one location. This wizard eliminates the need to keep track of what's left to do when setting up an academic year, the wizard will help guide you at all times.

- Academic Year Wizard Basics & Settings (13:20):

- Adjust Current Academic Year, Current Term, Working Term, and Other Settings (14:30):
- There will be two academic years to configure based on your settings. To set up which year(s) to update in the configuration.
PRO TIP! These settings will also update in your client settings. - Academic Year to use in Admin: This will be used as the default filtered year in all tables and reports.
- Academic Year to use in Portal: Used as the year in the portal, school directory, and courses for teachers.
- Current Term in Admin: Working and default term used in the portal
- Working Term in Admin: Assists with defaulting several tools in the admin when setting up forthcoming terms.
- Other Settings:
- Disable step 'Set Up Program Schedule Options In Academic Year Wizard': If your school does not offer schedules for programs you can disable this step.
- Disable steps 'Create Courses for Academic' and 'Register Students for Courses': If your school does not use courses for your programs, you can disable this option.
- There will be two academic years to configure based on your settings. To set up which year(s) to update in the configuration.
Getting Started on the Academic Wizard🧙♂:

- Step 1: Setting up the academic year (16:45) - Here you can select the begin/end dates for the year, select holiday(s) for the school year, and generate attendance.

- Step 2: Set up schedule options for programs (19:30)- If your school has programs that require time slots, such as early childhood programs they can be configured here.

- Step 3: Process Re-Enrollments (51:50) - This step will allow you to change programs, cohorts, or schedules for the next year. You can promote students in a year to the next year, and create re-enrollment contracts at the same time.

- Step 4: Create Courses for Academic Year (56:00) - You can roll over previous curricula/courses for the new year or create your own. This will create assessment periods in those terms for all teachers and students. Keep in mind that you will have to create courses for each program.

- Step 5: Auto-Register Students into Courses (56:00) - You will be able to select the term to bulk enroll students into new courses. Keep in mind that these courses either exist in the past or current term and can be added for the current term being configured.

- Step 6: Create Associates and Add Teachers to for Daily Attendance (57:55) - This option allows you to create and/or add teachers to be able to edit reports, and take attendance for programs/cohorts.
- Step 7: Setup Admission Process for Next Year (1:04:00) - This last step will assist with getting the next Admission Process and/or Academic Year configured.
- This step will involve step 1 and assist with getting the academic year, school days, and attendance for configuring the upcoming year. You will have to have this step set up prior to configuring the next school year.
- Step 1: Setting up the academic year (16:45) - Here you can select the begin/end dates for the year, select holiday(s) for the school year, and generate attendance.
