We are very excited to show everyone the new cohorts feature! This new process will allow you to create cohorts, assign students to said cohorts, and later if need be, move/change students from one cohort to another. This article will walk you through the setup of the cohorts through the, newly rolled out, Academic Year Wizard.
Creating Cohorts
- Go to Favorites > Academic Year Wizard.
- Scroll down to Step 3: Process Re-Enrollments> Change Cohorts.
- On the left-hand side of the New Cohorts line, you will see a New green combo box. Click on it
(Right-click and "Open image in new tab" to enlarge) - This will take you to a new page where you will Add a Cohort. A title is the only requirement needed, however, feel free to add a description, and order number if need be. Then click Save and Back if you are done or Save and Add Another if you have more to add.
PRO TIP! The order number will allow you to organize your cohorts in a certain order. - Now you are ready to add your students into the cohorts. Please make sure the Currently in Term is correct, next select Currently in Program you want to work with, and then Select the New Cohort that you want to put your students in. Select the Enrollments that you want to move into the cohort (you can select one or all, the example below has four students selected). Lastly, click the Save New Cohort button.
- A new page will open with a green Success message at the top to let you know you are done!
