New acknowledgement features for Donor-Advised Funds, Bequests, and Irrevocable Planned Gifts that alter the acknowledgements to focus on soft credit members rather than hard credit members (e.g., thank the donors rather than the Donor-Advised Fund; thank the family rather than the decedent in the case of bequests)
The Generate Letters (Per Donor Profile) has been deprecated to encourage the use of the Tax Receipt Letter instead (which summarizes all donations for the year) and the use of the Summary markers in the Generate Letters (Per Donation) if client’s want to identify multiple donations that a donor makes. The proper use of the Thank You tool has always been to acknowledge each donation separately, this restores the intended use.
